We are a Canadian company based in New Brunswick, and we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Our Services
This policy covers all SOS Technical Services products:
- Tabellion — accounting and bookkeeping software
- Web hosting and website services
- Domain registration and DNS management
- Email hosting
- MenuDirect — restaurant websites and online ordering
Where Your Information Is Stored and Processed
Your service data stays in Canada. Our servers are located in Canada. Your
accounting records in Tabellion — the ledger, invoices, receipts, payroll records and their
backups — are stored and processed in Canada and are not transferred outside the country.
The same applies to websites we host, mailboxes on our mail server, and restaurant orders taken
through MenuDirect.
Some information is necessarily processed outside Canada. Where that is the case,
we tell you here rather than leave it implied:

Payments (Stripe). Subscription and invoice payments are processed by Stripe.
Payment information — including cardholder data — may be transferred,
processed and stored outside of Canada, including in the United States. We never see or
store your full card number. Stripe does not receive your accounting records, your website
content or your email.

DNS (Cloudflare). Domain name records are hosted on Cloudflare's global
network, which operates outside Canada. DNS records are technical routing information, not
personal or financial records.

Domain registration. Registering a domain requires sending registrant contact
details to the registry and registrar for that extension, which may be outside Canada, as
required by ICANN and the relevant registry. Privacy protection is available on extensions that
permit it.
Information processed outside Canada is subject to the laws of the country it is processed in, and
may be accessible to courts and authorities in that country.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal
information, including encryption, firewalls, and access controls.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third parties who assist in operating our services — Stripe (payment processing), domain registrars and registries, and Cloudflare (DNS). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
- Domain Registration: WHOIS information as required by ICANN (with privacy protection options available)
Your Rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA),
and for Québec residents under the Act respecting the protection of personal information
in the private sector (Law 25), you have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
- Receive a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format — Tabellion lets you export your complete books at any time, on every plan, including after you stop paying
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec
Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
We also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and
enforce agreements — including Canadian tax records retention requirements, which apply to
accounting and invoicing data.
If you stop paying, your data is not deleted or held hostage. A suspended Tabellion
account becomes read-only rather than locked, so you keep access to your books and can export them.
You may ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to the retention obligations above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our website.
